The original house was built in 1909, then reconstructed by the 400-year-old English architectural firm Crowther of Syon Lodge (famed renovators of Windsor Castle).
From our hand-painted de Gournay murals to the English poet Lord Byron's fireplace, to our 1770s Hepplewhite buffet table (the matching one is in the Metropolitan Museum), to our gorgeous three-tiered English gardens dotted with priceless Venetian statues, your guests will be met with extraordinary antiques and elegance at every turn.

Our Founder
The Bloodworth House is the ancestral home of Hollywood writer and producer Linda Bloodworth Thomason. Today it exists as a stunning venue for personal, civic, and cultural events, while also serving as the bricks and mortar heart of the Claudia and Designing Women Foundations, and all of their philanthropies.
